Early life interventions during the first 1,000 days of life: Data synthesis for birth outcomes and child linear growth
By Jay Park et al
Several recent review papers of clinical trials or observational studies have investigated the effects of interventions to address stunting. However, we are the first to summarize and quantify the effectiveness of multiple classes of interventions across the three key early life stages: pregnancy, exclusive breastfeeding (infants aged 0-6 months) and the complementary feeding period (6-24 months). We also present an assessment of conjoint effects undertaken on stunting and mortality using the Lives Saved Tool.
